Ink Nurse Secures Seven-Figure Funding to Fuel Expansion

Ink Nurse Secures Seven-Figure Funding to Fuel Expansion

Melbourne, Australia – September 2025

Ink Nurse, the Melbourne-born tattoo aftercare and skin barrier brand, has secured a seven-figure funding round led by biotech entrepreneur and angel investor Michael H. Cho, fuelling its expansion into North America.

Already stocked in more than 600 Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide, Ink Nurse recently became the first tattoo care brand in the world with a dedicated in-store category at a major pharmacy chain. Ink Nurse products are featured in the premium First Aid section of every Chemist Warehouse store across Australia, validating not only the brand but also the rapid rise of tattoo care as a new skincare category.

Australia’s #1 Australian-Made Tattoo Aftercare Brand

Unlike older competitors such as Dr Pickles or pharma staples like Bepanthen, Ink Nurse’s lightweight, botanical-based aftercare cream has overtaken legacy players to become the #1 Australian-made tattoo aftercare brand online and in pharmacies.

Customers consistently report that the formula skips the dreaded “itchy phase”, promotes faster healing, and doubles as a multi-purpose barrier cream for burns, eczema, and everyday skin irritation.

Ink Nurse is also, lightweight, absorbable and creamy - unlike thick, suffocating wax-based products like Dr Pickles and thick, greasy, petroleum-based products like Bepanthen. Thousands of users are thrilled to have a solution like ink nurse offers and the reviews speak volumes.

Expansion to the United States

With fresh financial backing, Ink Nurse is preparing a U.S. rollout with retail partners including Walmart and Spencer’s (700+ stores). The funding also allows Ink Nurse to expand its team and invest in a world-class NPD program in collaboration with botanical leaders Native Extracts, who are working hand-in-hand with Ink Nurse to deliver world-first skin barrier innovations.

Backing From Michael H. Cho

Michael H. Cho is a successful biotech entrepreneur and angel investor with more than 20 years of experience in capital markets and pharmaceutical innovation. His support marks a significant milestone for the Ink Nurse team, providing the brand with global firepower and strategic expertise.

A Global Vision

Founder Jason Taylor says:

“This funding allows us to take an Australian success story global. We’re building a new standard in skin-barrier care, and now we have the fuel and world-class team to do it.”

Ink Nurse reports that it now sells one product every 10 minutes in Australia and is confident it can disrupt — and rise to the top of — the massive U.S. tattoo and skincare market, just as it has at home.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, the next chapter is beginning.
